CONVERGED – Uplifting the Nation’s Health Care Through Emergency Medicine Advocacies
At the end of April, the CareJet Team attended the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine 2019 Annual Convention held at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. The convention is the country’s largest and most prestigious Emergency Medicine scientific assembly attracting emergency healthcare providers and specialists from the Philippines and across the region.
The theme of this year’s convention was “Uplifting the Nation’s Health Care Through Emergency Medicine Advocacies” and the program of events, workshops, and meetings were stacked full of leading speakers and facilitators from their specialist healthcare fields.
The Philippine College of Emergency Medicine (PCEM), which was founded over a decade ago, is very highly regarded and has been instrumental in supporting and promoting the highest standards of emergency care in the Philippines, with the annual convention being a significant force behind the delivery of its aims. The convention program contained some wonderfully supportive messages from both the President and the Vice President of the Philippines, reinforcing the importance of these events as the country moves towards a universal healthcare system.
The topics that were covered over the two days were specifically chosen, and the program purposely designed, to further strengthen the national healthcare system through sustainable emergency medicine advocacies, collaborations, research and technological advancements.
As PCEM’s Preferred Emergency Medical Assistance and Air Ambulance Partner, CareJet was proud to be exhibiting at the convention for the third year in a row. In addition, CareJet’s Case Specialists and Quality Assurance Officers were on-site to provide operational and administrative support to the organizers and delegates. For this year’s conference, we collaborated with the Registration Committee, creating the processes and providing the manpower for the registration of 750+ delegates from online registration to providing co-branded conference IDs.
